Differentiated Instruction 101: Helping all students achieve educational success Moodle Course

At its core, the Québec Education Program (QEP) frames differentiation as a means to ensure success for all students across the province. The aim of this course is to support educators in developing practices that support differentiation for all students with or without an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The three forms of differentiation explored in this course are: pedagogical flexibility, adaptation, and modification of expectations associated with QEP requirements. By the end of the 4 course modules, our hope is for educators to feel more confident that their teaching practices and methods assist all students to succeed regardless of their abilities.

Pedagogical intention:

To gain a better understanding of the documentation from the Ministry of Education on Differentiated Instruction, Pedagogical Flexibility, Adaptation and Modification of expectations. To gain a better understanding of how small tweaks or changes to one's teaching practices can foster differentiation. To gain a more intentional pedagogical reflective practice to support student success for all learners.
