Democracy and Institutions

In this resource, students will examine the voter turnout rate among young people (aged 18–34) in provincial elections. Then they discuss democracy and democratic institutions in Québec and Canada. Finally, they consider the possibility of allowing young people to vote in a referendum on an issue that directly affects them. This lesson explores the cultural reality: Democracy and social order – Democratic institutions in Québec and Canada.
