LEARN has partnered with Éducaloi
to offer free virtual workshops
Éducaloi
Éducaloi is a non-profit organization whose mission is to explain the law in everyday language to enhance the legal competencies of people in Quebec.
Their free, interactive, and fun legal education workshops are run by volunteer legal experts all over Quebec and can be implemented in a regular class period. They prompt youth to reflect and take a stance on legal questions that are a part of their daily lives and challenge the students’ preconceived ideas.
The law impacts our lives in many ways. This means that Éducaloi’s workshops can easily be integrated during curriculum planning.

Internet and the Law
In this interclass activity sequence, LEARN and Éducaloi are working together to introduce students to the basics of using the Internet and social networks.
The activities in this virtual workshop series provide an overview of prohibited online behaviour (threats, sharing intimate photos) and suggest courses of action when a young person is a victim of online harassment. A legal expert will provide participating classes with information and answers to their questions.
Workshop dates: November-December 2025 (4 periods)
Suggested grade level: Elementary Cycle 3 and Secondary Cycle 1 (Grades 5-8)
QEP connections: Culture and Citizenship in Québec, English Language Arts
Recording: Teachers who register will receive a recording of the virtual meeting and virtual sessions.
Are you old enough?
At 18, a person becomes an adult and has all the responsibilities and freedoms of an adult. However, a person does not get all of this at once. Indeed, from year to year, a young person accumulates freedoms and responsibilities in society. As students spend long hours under your supervision at school, it is essential to explain to them what they can do or what he or she should be responsible for.
Workshop dates: April-May 2026 (6 periods)
Suggested grade level: Elementary Cycle 3 and Secondary Cycle 1 (Grades 5-8)
QEP connections: Culture and Citizenship in Québec
Recording: Teachers who register will receive a recording of the virtual meeting and virtual sessions.
