The Spotlight on the Arts offers a comprehensive day-long professional development experience tailored for both Arts generalists and specialists. This event aims to ignite teachers’ passion for providing students with authentic learning opportunities through a variety of engaging activities. Participants can expect dynamic workshops, an interactive art-making area, and exhibitions featuring arts associations and valuable resources. These workshops are designed to equip educators with authentic learning practices and techniques that can enhance their students’ arts competencies while also fostering connections with other areas of the curriculum.
LEARN-RÉCIT Provincial Service for the Anglophone community is collaborating on this event with Bronwen Hughes (Arts Consultant, CQSB), Lynn Harper (Music Specialist/Arts Consultant, Chateau Valley Teachers’ Association) and Nicolas Doyon (Arts Consultant, EMSB).
