In this interclass activity sequence, LEARN and Éducaloi are working together to introduce elementary cycle 3 and secondary cycle 1 classes to the basics of using the Internet and social networks. Internet use by young people is widespread, both at school and at home, and it can be difficult to find one’s way around.
The activities in this interclass sequence provide an overview of prohibited online behaviour (threats, sharing intimate photos) and suggest courses of action when a young person is a victim of online harassment.
Duration: 4 periods (see timeline below)
Audience: Elementary cycle 3 and Secondary cycle 1 (grades 5-8)
Recording: Teachers who register will receive a recording of the virtual meeting and virtual sessions.
