Voices from the Land: Valuing Indigenous Perspectives in Quebec’s Classrooms

This webinar is ideal for all school staff and community members interested in learning more about the 11 Nations in Quebec.

With the guidance of Brenda Whiteduck, the First Nations Curriculum Development Advisor at the First Nation Education Council (FNEC), we will explore the newly launched Voices from the Land/ Les Voix du Territoire platform. This bilingual platform offers a wealth of resources to help educators integrate Indigenous perspectives into their classrooms, aligning with Professional Competency 15 in Quebec: Value and promote Indigenous knowledge, worldviews, cultures, and history.

Developed in collaboration with First Nations and Indigenous educational communities, Voices from the Land/ Les Voix du Territoire is a source for accurate and contemporary representation of Indigenous Nations in Quebec. It is an excellent platform for all students, staff and community members!

This webinar is being hosted by LEARN/RÉCIT Provincial Service for the Anglophone Community.
