Parks Canada presents Winter Road

This online activity, Winter Road, is being hosted by LEARN in collaboration with Parks Canada. The intended audience for this session is Cycle 2 & 3 Elementary (Grades 3-6) students.
Parks Canada show you how to build a winter road and ice bridges. When the temperatures are dipping below 30 degrees Celsius, the snow is falling, the cold northern wind is howling and the rivers are freezing, people get excited here in the North. Why you wonder? It is winter road and ice bridges season. The Asset Team of Wood Buffalo National Park is spending long cold days outside to build and to make sure the winter road is ready for winter travels. Interested yet? Join me to learn how a winter road and ice bridges are built.
