Parks Canada presents Archaeology and Diplomacy in New France

This online activity, Archaeology and Diplomacy in New France, is being hosted by LEARN in collaboration with Parks Canada. The intended audience for this session is Cycle 2 Elementary (Grades 3 & 4) students.
This presentation offers a journey back in time to explore diplomacy in New France: the alliances, the key encounters, and the material traces left behind by the past. Thanks to archaeology, it is now possible to uncover fragments of this history buried beneath the ground. Through images, ancient objects, and captivating stories, this activity sheds light on the notions of respect, dialogue, and alliance… as they were lived more than 300 years ago.

This interclass activity lasts 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute question period.

The event is finished.
