A network activity carried out in collaboration with Parks Canada: A Really Well-Connected National Park! The intended audience is Cycle 3 elementary (Grade 5-6).
This interclass activity looks at the ecological connectivity of the animals in Forillon National Park. What is ecological connectivity? Why is it so important for animals? And how does it apply to protected areas?
Come and meet the specialists from Forillon National Park, who will be delighted to answer these questions. You’ll discover that animals sometimes need to travel very long distances to survive, and that it’s important to encourage them to do so.
This interclass activity lasts 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute question period.
